David H. Toney

David H. “Toby” Toney, departed this life on Sunday, November 14th, 2021, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born to the late Howard and Ailiene (Bradley) Toney on February 8th, 1949, in Holden, WV. Toby was a retired coal miner and a member of Maryetta United Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Wendy Toney, Delilah Toney, and Zenia Mathis; and one niece, Jamie Lynn Martin.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of fifty-three years, Virginia “Jenny” Toney; one son, David Ray (Mary Jane) Toney; one daughter, Jackie Lynn (Butch) Franklin; one brother, Cameron “Banjer” (Tiffany) Toney; one sister, Reva “Jez” (Johnny) Martin; two grandchildren, Nikki Rodighiero and David Toney; one great grandson, (his little man), Linnic Colt; and a host of family, friends, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at Maryetta United Baptist Church at 12:00pm with Rev. Lonnie Gore Jr. officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 from 6:00-9:00pm. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will include Toby’s family and friends.
