Anna Ruth Elkins

Anna Ruth Elkins, 81 of Verdunville, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, August 12th, 2019 at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan, WV. She was born August 21st, 1937 in Logan, WV to the late Mordica Beckett and Alice (Browning) Beckett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-dad, Sherman Browning; three brothers, Noah Beckett, Roger Beckett, and Charles Browning; two sisters, Donna (Beckett) Colegrove and Joan (Beckett) Ferrell.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her husband, John Elkins; three children, James (Rick) and Angie Slack, Greg and Judy Slack, and Kim and Gerald Fields; grandchildren, Jason Petroff, Jennifer (Justin) Bates, Derek Browning, Tori Browning, Adam Slack, and Aiden Slack; sisters, Connie (Beckett) Blankenship and Carol (Beckett) and Larry Bragg; sister-in-law, Hope (Hatfield) Browning; brother-in-law, Cletis Ferrell.

Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 15th, 2019 at Maryetta United Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Gore and Rev. John Mills officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will include family and friends. Collins Funeral Home of Switzer, WV is assisting the family with arrangements.
