Barbara Ann Acord-Smith

Barbara Ann (Jones) Acord Smith 80, of Sarah Ann, WV passed away Thursday, December 01, 2016 at her residence.  She was born March 12, 1936 at Sarah Ann. She was the daughter of the late Estel and Anna “Kozma” Jones.  Her husband also preceded her in death; Rush “Moose” Acord, one son; William Michael Acord, one sister; Irene McNeely and a very special brother-in-law; John Collins.  She was a homemaker and she loved listening to gospel music, reading, working word search puzzles and spending time with her family.  Survivors include one sister; Mary Lou Collins of Kalamazoo, MI, two daughters; Terri (Johnny) Adkins of Delbarton and Maggie (Lloyd) Ramsey of Frametown, WV, one son; David (Sandra) Acord of Huntington, one daughter-in-law; Norma Acord of Cow Creek, Six grandchildren; John and Willis Ray Adkins of Delbarton, Allison Ramsey of Frametown, Cody Piercey of Cow Creek, Dalton Maynard of Huntington, and Kyle Acord of Cow Creek, two great-grandchildren; Keegan and Patrick Adkins of Delbarton and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 03, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Starr officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be from 6 to 9 P.M. Friday, December 02, 2016 at the Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be John Adkins, Willis Ray Adkins, Cody Piercey, Dalton Maynard, Greg Collins and Michael Thomas.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Adkins and Lloyd Ramsey.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.  Condolences may be left @ www.collinsfunralhomewv.com./
