Barbara Lou Caldwell

June 15, 1935 — March 3, 2020

Barbara Lou Caldwell, 84 of Logan, WV left this earthly home for her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 from St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on June 15th, 1935 in Harlan County, KY. She was the daughter of Dury and Hazel Murray.

Those standing at Heavens gates to welcome her in were her parents, her husband Billy Caldwell, her daughters Dreama Caldwell, Coleen and Pauline Caldwell, her grandson Bobby Marcum, her granddaughters Regina (Gerty) Cantrell and Barbara Marcum, her two son in laws Michael Messinger and Jessie Cantrell, her brothers, Floyd Murray, Billy Joe Murray, and Jimmy Murray, her sisters Brenda Browning, Margie Kirby.

Barbara was such a sweet and precious soul. She was a member of Micco Jesus Church for several years. She loved the Lord with all her heart and she strived over sixty-two years to make Heaven her home. Her two greatest pleasures in life was serving the Lord and taking care of her family. She loved her family with everything she had and she tried her best to take care of everyone. She lived her life in a way that when she passed from this life that she could spend eternity with her Lord. Anyone who met her instantly loved her. She was such a precious and rare jewel. She kept singing and saying, “She wouldn’t take nothing for her journey with her Jesus.” Her race is won.

Those left here to cherish in her memory are her children Rita Cantrell of Logan, Debbie Messinger of Huntington, Freddie (Margie) Caldwell of East Lynn, Carolyn (Clyde) Marcum of Williamson, Billy Caldwell of Logan, Pete (Jodi) Caldwell of Logan and Michael (Jenny) Caldwell of Gilbert.
