Bruce Roger Ellis

Bruce Roger Ellis 67 of Switzer departed this life Thursday, June 11, 2015 in C.A.M.C. General Division Hospital in Charleston.  He was born September 28, 1947 at Holden to the late William “Bill” and Stella (Garrett) Ellis. He was a Coal Miner and a Member of the UMWA Local 5922 District 17, a loving Dad and Grandfather.  In addition to his Parents he is also preceded in death by his Grandparents, his Wife Margie (Adkins) Ellis, six Sisters; Oneeda Huff, June King, Maebyrd Collins, Grady Ellis, Grace Ellis and Stella Mae Ellis and two Brothers; Eugene Step and Ray Ellis.  Those left to cherish his memories are four Daughters; Debbie (Donnie) Kubow and Stella (Dean Hagy) Ellis both of Switzer, Jennifer (Curtis) Walker of KY and Bernice (Ronnie) Clark of St. Albans, WV, two Sisters; Barbara (Robert) Greer of Chauncey and Geneva Bodine of NJ, six Grandchildren; Candace Shelton, Bruce Brewer, Jessica McNeely, Cody Walker, Emily Copley and Kaitlyn Clark, one Great-Grandaughter; Lacey Jo Brewer, three special Nieces; Marlene and Shana Nelson and Stephanie Duty, one special Nephew; Robert Greer Jr., and a host of other nieces and nephews.  Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mansfield Dameron officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby.  Visitation will be from 6 to 9 P.M. Monday, June 15, at the Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Son-in-Laws and Grandsons.
