Carmel Anna Marie Mitchell

Carmel Anna Marie (Hunter) Mitchell, 61 of Switzer passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Dignity Hospice in Chapmanville. She was born January 7, 1957 in Boone, WV to the late Walter and Loretta (Ferrell) Hunter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years; Ernest “Bingo/Trader” Mitchell, two brothers; Bo and Ronnie Hunter, three grandchildren; Baby, Harley, and Harla Green, and one great grandchild; Grayson Williams Hunter. Those left to cherish her loving memory include one son; Jamie Hunter of Whitman, two daughters; Patricia (Charlie) Green of Mill Creek and Madgie (Shawn) Gore of Chapmanville, two brothers; Tommy (Kathy) Hunter of Hewitt and Donny Hunter of Pecks Mill, and four sisters; Becky Tomblin of Peach Creek, Lynn (Arkie) Tomblin of Mud Fork, Esta (Billy) Akers of Justice Addition, and Peggy Tomblin of Sarah Ann, and nine grandchildren; Carlie Green, Shanna Green, Lil Charlie Green, Mackency Gore, Trevor Gore, L.J. Hunter, Jacob Hunter, Emily Hunter, Alyssa Hunter and a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roscoe Chafins officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-9PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Carmel will be carried to her final resting place by Charlie Green, Lil Charlie Green, Shawn Gore, Jacob Woodzell, L.J. Hunter, Jacob Hunter and Freddie Mitchell. Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is assisting the family with arrangements.
