Carolyn Ann Johnson

Carolyn Ann Johnson, 59 of Kistler, WV, departed this life on October 11, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Division Hospital in Charleston, WV.  She was born in Logan, WV on October 17, 1954 to Octavia (Sharp) Binder.  She attended Buffalo Creek Grade School, Man Junior High School and Graduated from Man High School. She was formerly employed by the Logan County Board of Education for many years as a Secretary.  She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church serving as Choir President, Church Clerk; she also served as the Grand Chaplin for the Eastern Stars. Those left to cherish her memories are her Mother; Octavia Binder, her Grandmother; Ola Mae Robinson, her husband Starling A. Johnson, one Son; Starling Curtis (Phyllis) Johnson of Gaithersburg, MD, six Brothers; Phillip (Linda) Sharp of Richmond VA, Robert Sharp of Cincinnati, OH, James Hardy of Huntington, WV,  Marvin Sharp of Murrieta, CA, Jahari Akili of Lynchburg, VA and Jerry Sharp of San Antonio, TX,
five Sisters;  Debra Sharp of Kistler, Theresa Jackson of  Lynchburg, VA, Angela Fratti of MS, Lisa (Wayne) Small of Atlanta, GA,  Vanessa Luke of MD and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that will dearly miss her. Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Logan with Rev. James H. Mosley Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Guyan Memorial Gardens @ Godby.  Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service on Saturday @ the Church.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.  Condolences may be left @ www.collinsfuneralhomewv.com
