Carolyn Sue "Tookie" Deskins

Carolyn Sue “Tookie” Deskins, 76 of Omar, WV departed this life Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 22nd, 1943 in Logan, WV to the late Boyd and Myrna (Craddock) Kirkendoll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Deskins; grandson, Derek Lonker; one brother, Frank Kirkendoll.

She was a devoted grandmother and friend to many. She had wit, beauty and a classic charm. She was loved by everyone who knew her and would always meet you with a friendly smile.

Those left to cherish her memory includes three daughters, Regina (Brad) Crites, Sonja (Carlos) Turner, and Glenna “Megan” Lonker; two brothers, Bobby (Jamie Ann) Kirkendoll and Art (Barbara) Kirkendoll; one sister, Glenna Burgess; grandchildren, Branden Crites, Kasie Crites Rubin, Sasha Deskins (Roberto) Moreno, Nicholas Turner and Amber Vidovich Sloane; great-grandchildren, Emaleigh Sloane, Christian Vidovich, Brooklyn Turner, and Kendrick Turner; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, September 14th, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will begin a hour prior. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
