Cecelia A. Mounts

Cecelia A. Mounts, 69 of Switzer, passed away peacefully in her home on July 3rd, 2022. She was the daughter of Fred and Delores Jean Rushden born on August 16th, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, David Allen Rushden.

Cecelia was a kindergarten teacher for 33 years with Logan County Schools. She loved and enjoyed teaching her students. After retirement, Cecelia enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the yard, watching Hallmark movies, and playing with her two cats, Jessica and Jacob.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard Mounts, son Christopher and wife TIffany Mounts and their children Kate and Ryan of Foster, and son Joseph and wife Angela Mounts of Switzer and their daughter Megan Justice of Amherstdale. Cecelia is also survived by one brother, Frank (Patty) Rushden of Omar, and 2 sisters; Camelia (Rex) Hale of Huntington, and Pam Rushden of Switzer, and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Jon Miller and his staff at Healthy Habits and Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville for their great help and compassion during this time.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022 from 6:00-9:00pm at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service will be the following day on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 at 1:00pm with Mike Manuel officiating also at the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers will include Rex Hale, David Hale, Alex Crum, Eric Crum, Brad Bell, and Allen Rushden.
