Clifford "Paw" Cline

Clifford Cline or often referred to as, “Paw”, 84 of Wharncliffe, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with his wife, Ider on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 at his residence. He was born on October 30th, 1936 to the late Walter and Rebecca (Stenson) Cline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Ider (Trent) Cline; six brothers, Glen Cline, Hansford Cline, Shiral Cline, Earl Cline, Walter Cline Jr., and Charles Cline; four sisters, Violet Compton, Lillian Trent, Verlie Manuel, and Lovis Hughes; one stepson, Jimmy Darrell Trent.

Clifford was a retired bus driver and custodian for many, many years for Mingo County Board of Education. He was also the father figure of Wharncliffe Church of God for many years.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes a special buddy and pastor whom he loved as a son, Rickey D. (Catrina) Endicott of North Spring, WV; special nieces, Michelle Jewell of Pineville, WV, Cathy (Jeff) Gravely of Florida, Judy (David) Bragg of Kentucky, Peggy Pelletier of North Carolina, Betty Bowles of Texas, Kathleen Asbury of North Carolina, Connie, Angie Gail, Shirley, and Jean; special nephews, Gerald (Judy) Compton of Wharncliffe, WV, Benny Musick of Wharncliffe, WV, and Eddie Compton of Gilbert, WV; and a host of many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; grandchildren, James and Johnathan Trent, Jennifer Nicole Potter of Lexington, NC, Gunner Endicott of Williamson, WV, Caleb and Bethany Endicott of Switzer, WV, and Donovann Endicott of North Spring, WV; and a host of family, friends, and church family who all love and miss him tremendously.

Special recognition to his dear friends whom he loved very much, Rhodella (Tim) Toler, Merlin Walls, Sandy Stacy, Merle Tramel.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at Wharncliffe Church of God with Pastor Rickey Endicott, Assistant Pastor Donald Robinette, and Brother Caleb Endicott officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV to be beside the love of his life, Ider Cline. Pallbearers will include, Russell Walls, Wes and Jake Marsingill, Walt Cline, Jeff Morgan, Jeff Gravely, Jeff Compton, Conrad Lester, and Josh Vance. Honorary pallbearers will include, Gerald Compton, Tim Toler, Pete Cline, Michael Endicott, Caleb Endicott, and Donovann Endicott.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm also at the church Friday, April 16th, 2021 with a special service starting at 7:00 pm.
