Cora "Sis" Ferguson
Cora “Sis” Ferguson, 88, of Delbarton, WV departed from this life on Friday, May 19th, 2023, at her residence. She was born on June 12th, 1934, in Whitewood, VA and was the daughter of the late James Mullins and Rosa (Blizzard) Mullins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Buck Ferguson; son, James Kelly Ferguson; and stepson, Jack Biggs.
She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith. She was the oldest of thirteen kids.
Those left to cherish her loving memory includes three sons, Charles (Teresa) Ferguson, Frank (Tammy) Ferguson, and Paul (Jane) Ferguson; stepdaughter, Jill Biggs; three brothers, Andrew Mullins, Jerry Mullins, and John Mullins; sister, Dolly Mae Chapman; twelve grandchildren; and twenty two great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, May 22nd, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, also at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eddie Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Chauncey Cemetery in Chauncey, WV. Pallbearers will include her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a lover of life. She was tough, ornery, stubborn, and always wanted to feed everyone.
