Darrell Tomblin

Darrell Gene Tomblin, 73 of Omar, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 17th, 2025. 

He was born on October 15th, 1951 to the late Jessie and Elizabeth (Meadows) Tomblin in Omar, WV. Darrell was coal miner for over 25 years, and a faithful member of Omar Community Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Tomblin; one sister, Faye McCoy; and one granddaughter, Taylor Hicks. 

Those left to cherish his memories includes his two sons, Dee Tomblin and Darren Tomblin; three daughters, Chasity (Jimmy) Meade, April Tomblin, and Raya Tomblin; two brothers, Bobby Tomblin and Mike (Liz) Tomblin; six sisters, Trish (John) Gower, Donetta (Jimmy) Diamond, Mary Roop, Verna Diamond, Pam (Steve) Hapney, and Kim (Joe) Diamond; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

 A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Tomblin and Pastor Jimmy Meade officiating.
