Diana Lynn (Thompson) Setser, 69 years old, of Rossmore, WV. The wife of Earl Setser of Rossmore, WV. She was born on June 30th, 1954 and was the youngest of thirteen kids.
She was born and raised in Holden, WV. She worked most of her life at Logan General Hospital, Morrision's Drive Inn, and Valley Market. She knew and was well liked by most everyone in Logan County.
She was patient with her husband, letting him spend time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. She also enjoyed going with Earl when she was able. Diana came from a large family; most have already passed away. She could tell you from memory all of her family’s birthdays; kids, grandkids, cousins. She had an exceptional memory. She had a very strong personality and would not take any foolishness from anyone, but she had a huge heart and would help anyone she could. Her biggest thrill in life was seeing and talking to her five grandchildren. Her last five years has been very hard on her physically. She had high blood, neuropathy, and border line diabetes. She suffered more than anyone realized. She didn’t go to church much in her later years, but she believed in God and prayed a lot. Her favorite saying was, “Don’t worry so much- give it to God to do your worrying.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Isaac Thompson, and Lena (Blankenship) Thompson of Holden, WV; her brothers, James Thompson of Point Pleasant, WV, Russell Thompson of Lenore, WV, Jimmy Thompson of Lenore, WV, and Kendall Ray Thompson of Holden, WV; sisters, Alice Ooten of Lenore, WV, Sue Ooten of Lenore, WV, Belva Browning of Rossmore, WV, Stella May Vance of Harts, WV, Joe Crone of California, and Mary Fireson of Ohio.
Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her husband, Earl Setser of Rossmore, WV; sons, Craig (Nickie) Setser of Summersville, SC, and Earl Jason (Mary Beth) Setser of Mudfork, WV, grandchildren, Holden, Lena, Noah, Luke, and Kylie; brothers, John Thompson of Gallipolis, OH and David Thompson of Newport News, VA; and sister, Penny Santos of Omar, WV.
