Dianna Lynn Crowder

Dianna Lynn Crowder “Dee Dee” 60, of Lundale WV, gained her Heavenly wings on September 11, 2024. 

She was born on March 6, 1964 in Boone County WV to the late Betty Johnson and Charles (Corky) Duncan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ricky (Poodle) Duncan, Randy (Hanky) Duncan, and Charles (Bimbo) Duncan.

Dee Dee was of the Christian faith and a loyal member of Lundale Freewill Baptist Church. That was until her health declined and she was no longer able to attend in person. Though she was not in attendance, she still loved her church and fellow members as much as ever. Not a day passed that she did not mention how much she missed her church and could not wait to get healthy enough to attend again.

Dee Dee loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a Mamaw when Dakota was born. She always loved him as if he were her own son. She and him had an unbreakable bond. She would do anything for her other three grandchildren as well. They were all her life.

Though Dee Dee had many professions throughout the years, she was most known for her time as a cook. Her biscuits were hands down the best around. If you never tried her biscuits and gravy, cavatini, meatloaf, or pumpkin rolls, then you truly missed out. It's how she won over her son in law. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved until her health no longer allowed her to do so.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Timothy Crowder of Lundale WV; daughters, Tara Crowder of Garner NC, and Traci (Matt) Hale of Lorado WV; grandchildren, Dakota Maynard of Lundale WV, Scarlett Wright of Garner NC, and Corey and Karley Jude both of Lorado WV; siblings, Donna Bryant of Lake WV, Shelley (Tim) Tart of Lake Alfred FL, Connie (Steve) Adkins of Cyclone WV, and Randy (Kelly) Lusk of Lorado WV.

To honor Dee Dee's wishes, her body will be cremated and the family will forego any services.
