Dolfard Lambert

Dolfard Lambert, 83 of Omar, WV departed this life on Friday, September 27, 2024, peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born May 9, 1941, in Omar, WV to the late Rev. Walter and Gracie (Meadows) Lambert. He was retired from the Logan County Board of Education. He was a devoted Christian and a fifty-year member of Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Vance) Lambert; sons, Dolfard Lambert, Jr. and Ray Kennedy, Jr.; brothers, Johnnie, and Ronnie Lambert; sisters, Betty Jean, and Janet Lambert; and twin siblings, Harold and Carol Lambert.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his wife, Linda (Vance) Lambert; son, David (Charlene) Lambert; daughters, Karen (Paul) Cornett and Cheryl (James) Day all of Omar, WV and Terry (Kris) Busick of Switzer, WV; sister, Connie (Dewey) Viars of Omar, WV; brother, Jerry (Gladys) Lambert of Omar, WV; ten grandchildren, David (Gage) Lambert, McKayla and Hayley Day, Rondale Kennedy, Ryan Busick, Austin and Bailey Kennedy, Shanda Workman, Brian Craft, and Nickolas Combs; ten great grandchildren; loving pets, Cleo, Buddy, and Sadie; and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlie Blankenship. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV. Pallbearers will include David Lambert, David Gage Lambert, Christopher Spurlock, Jerry Vance, David Vance, Kris Busick, and Scotty Blevins. James Day, Paul Cornett, Dewey Viars, and Will Ferrell will serve as honorary pallbearers.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at 12:00 pm.
