Dolly Mullins Chapman passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Logan County, West Virginia on March 19, 1948, the daughter of James “Poppy” Mullins and Rosa Blizzard Mullins.
Dolly graduated from Logan High School in 1967. She married John Chapman in 1967; they had two children, Michele Chapman Conley (Chris) and John David Michael Chapman.
Dolly was a homemaker. She enjoyed raising vegetable gardens, cooking, sewing, fishing, and camping. Dolly was a Christian and will be remembered for her selfless nature, heart of gold, and her willingness to always help those in need. She loved her family and friends dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, son, John David; siblings, Noah Mullins, Tommy Mullins, William Mullins, Harold Mullins, Willard Mullins, Jesse Mullins, Garnet Runyun, and Cora “Sis” Ferguson.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele (Chris); grandson, Zac (Beth); great granddaughter, Jayln; great-granddaughter, Jaclyn; brothers, Andrew (Judy) Mullins, John (Regina) Mullins, and Jerry Mullins; numerous of nieces and nephews; her long-time companion, James “Jim” Neace; and a very special friend, Gail Mason.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Pat Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in at the family cemetery, Chauncey Cemetery in Chauncey, WV.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
