Dora Gay Williamson

Dora Gay Williamson, 84 of Cow Creek, WV gained her heavenly wings to be with her Lord on Friday, October 18, 2024, where she resided with her sister and caregiver, Sara Pennington.

She was born on February 8, 1940, in Mingo County, a daughter of the late Eli and Delsie (Spears) Perry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Williamson; two sons, Odell Williamson, Jr., and Eli Williamson; one daughter in law, Debra Marcum Williamson; two brothers, William Perry, and Donald Perry; and one sister, Florence Virginia Perry.

Dora was a homemaker and member of Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Dora loved going to church and singing to her Lord. At home, she loved listening to her CDs of gospel music.

Survivors include her son, Ancel Williamson; brother, Charles Perry of Saugus, MA; four sisters, Sara Pennington and Barbara Crum Balentine both of Cow Creek, Ollie Jane Davis of Rock Hill, SC, and Mary Etta (Rick) Davis of Ragland; seven grandchildren, Eli (Timmy) Williamson and Katrina Williamson both of Summerfield, FL, Crystal Williamson of Huntington, WV, Kayla Williamson, RebeKah Williamson, Cherokee Williamson, Lil’ Ancel Williamson; four great grandchildren, Alexis Caldwell, Felicia Williamson, Solomon Browning, and Gabriel Browning; seven great great grandchildren, Eli Duberstein, Grayson and Liam Bijeau, Adian, Alex, Isaiah, and Tina Williamson; special friend, William Cline; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who she loved and cherished.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm noon on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church at Pine Creek, WV with Rev. John Hatfield, and Rev. Charlie Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV. Pallbearers will include Eli Williamson, Timmy Williamson, Elvin Crum, Clint Perry, David Smith, and Lonzo Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the church.
