Eloise Mitchell

Elois Mitchell, 81 of Rossmore, formly of Dingess, departed this life Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Logan Regional Medical Center. Born January 5, 1934 at Mud Fork, she was the daughter of the late William and Rebecca Tiller Meade. Elois was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jennings McCloud, second husband, Denver Mitchell, one son, William Jennings "Bill" McCloud, and one daughter, Diana McCloud, grandson, Jimmy Curry. Survivors include one son, Jennings Edward "Poncho" McCloud of Dingess, and one daughter, Gladys Jean "Jenie" Kittrell of Statesville, N.C., grandchildren, Jenny McCloud, Keith Curry, Brandon and Aaron McCloud, Derek Tolley, Thomas Stampler, Sheena Hensley, and MaKayla Kittrell. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Newsome and Rev. Greg Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
