Emma Zola Jeffrey Smith, 92 of Cow Creek, WV gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, April 11th, 2024. She was born on February 13th, 1932 in Mallory to the late Allie and Liza (Wooten) Jeffrey. Emma was a homemaker, who loved cooking, spending time with family, vacationing at the beach. She loved attending church and singing for the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ora Smith; one daughter, Brenda Vinson; two sons, Allie “Wildman” Smith and William Michael Smith; two sisters, Alma Calloway and Doris Jefferson; three brothers, Alvie “Bill Jack” Jeffrey, Luther Jeffrey, and Golden Jeffrey; one grandson, Melvin Smith.
Those left to cherish her memories are her five children, Emma Lou Messer of Granite Falls, NC, Lonzo (Connie) Smith, Sharon (Larry) Ramey, Rick (Sharon) Smith, and Judy Adams all of Cow Creek, WV; one daughter in law, Linda Smith; sixteen grandchildren, Joey (Melanie) Smith, Vanessa (Bill) Perry, James Smith, Robbie (Angie) Messer, Loretta (Jorge) Parra, J.D. (Kim) Vinson, Bill Vinson, Becky (Jeremy) Tomblin, Kim (Bo) Varney, David (Mandy) Smith, Cindy Ramey, Larry (Keely) Ramey, Rikki Lynn (Jordan) Evans, Scottie (Sarah) Smith, Shannon (Allen) Bentley, and Nickie Adams; twenty-three great grandchildren, Aaron (Brittany) Smith, Steven (Tiffany) Smith, Shane Perry, Michael Messer, Robbie Messer, Alyssa Parra, Anthony Parra, Hannah Vinson, Jacob (Abigail) Vinson, Emma (Chris Watkins) Vinson, Mandy Vinson, Hailiegh Vinson, Kayda Vinson, Brandi (Tyler) Laws, Jayla Smith, Brycen Tomblin, Chloe Tomblin, Lauren (Michael) Hall, Jake Ramey, Barrett Evans, Jake Evans, Brady Thompson, and Trevor Adams; six great great grandchildren, Jesse Smith, Jenson Smith, Brenna Vinson, Nova Laws, Averie Laws, and Cooper Smith; one sister, Donna Thompson of Greenview, WV, a host of nieces, nephews, friends, family; and one special cat, Molly.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 1:00pm with Pastor Shane Dennison and Pastor Jeremy Tomblin officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to services at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
