Eugene Boggs

Eugene Boggs, 58 of Omar, WV  lost his short but hard battle with esophageal cancer on Thursday July 27, 2017 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born February 19, 1959 at Holden  to the late Milt and Mae (Meadows) Boggs .   He was a coal miner, Electrician for Alpha Natural Resources  at Hernshaw Mines at Dehue, WV. He was a former owner/operator of the Omar Marathon for 16 years. He loved spending his time Hunting, Fishing, playing Golf, but mostly serving The Lord. He was a member of the Omar Community Church. Preceding him in death is his Parents; two brothers; Donald Cigar Boggs, Larry Ray Boggs, two sisters; Glenna Sue Mills and Patty Vance. Those left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 25 years Frankie Dotson Boggs, two sons;  Tommy (Keisha) Dotson of Mud Fork, WV, Dennis (Andrea) Fletcher of Chapmanville; four daughters, Tammy (Paul) Scott of Delbarton, Crystal Bevins of Omar, Katherine Chambers of Prestonsburg, KY., and Amber (Jason) Cook of Man, WV; One brother, Glen (Carlene) Boggs of Chapmanville, WV; He is also survived by a Great-Granddaughter whom he loved very much and resided with Aubreigh Chambers,  Eleven grandchildren, and Seven great grandchildren. His service will be held on Monday July 31, 2017 at 1pm at The Omar Community Church with Pastor. Allen Clark officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.  Visitation will be from 6:00  to 9:00 P.M. at The Omar Community Church.
