Eunice Kelley Lambert

Eunice C. Lambert, 84 of Chapmanville, WV was born on February 8th, 1936 in Chauncey, WV to the late Cecil and Ocie Blevins Collins. She went to sleep in the Lord and received her Heavenly promotion on Sunday, September 13th, 2020 after fighting a long and hard battle with COVID complications at CAMC-Memorial Division in Charleston, WV.

She retired from Logan Manufacturing Company where she was a supervisor in Phico, WV and was a long-time member of Chapman Memorial Freewill Baptist Church (Tabernacle) at Harts, WV. She loved her family and friends dearly and always welcomed everyone with a smile. She loved going to church, singing, and praising God. She was a true prayer warrior whom many called upon and you couldn’t ask for a better role model in the Lord. She truly let her light shine and was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Harold Kelley and Donald E. Lambert, four brothers, Everett Blevins, Floyd Collins, Hubert Collins, and Areland Collins; and three sisters, Lorene Estrathers, Eliza Gore, and Shirley Collins; and her son in law, Mitchell L. Vance.

Survivors remaining to honor her memory includes her daughter, Sybil Kelley Vance; grandchildren, Mitchell L. Vance II, Anthony (Brandy) Vance of Harts, WV and Angel (Brent) Ritchie of Ravenswood, WV; her son, Sonny L. (Peggy) Kelley; grandchildren, Carrie Kelley of Harts, WV and Kenneth Kelley; great grandchildren, Conner, Lincoln, Beckham Ritchie, Shelby Vance, Dakota, Aiden, Braylee. Also, her three sisters, Virginia (Ginny) Fowler, Carol Sue Moore, and Barbara (Fred) Gore and a host of special church friends, nieces, nephews, and children she helped raise.

A celebration of her life will be held at Collins Funeral Home of Switzer, WV on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at 1:00 pm with her Pastor Joe Triplett and Rev. Ernest Vance officiating with entombment to follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum at Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will include Mitchell Vance II, Anthony Vance, Brent Ritchie, Randy Nagy, Dale Collins, and Larry Collins.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Friday, September 18th, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.
