Fredia Ann (Akers) Evans

Fredia Ann (Akers) Evans, 74 of Logan, WV passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023, at Hospice Care at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Fredia was born April 16, 1949, in Logan, WV and was the daughter of the late Mae Fern Ball Akers and Frank Akers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle (Evans) Balentine; two brothers, Ferrell Ray McKinney, and Freddie Akers.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her daughter, Annette (Mike) Carroll of Carrollton, TX; two sons, Rod (Krista) Evans of Chapmanville, WV and Bo Evans (Angie Hunt) of Laurel Creek, WV; two sisters, Faye (Harry) Callaway of Lagrange, OH and Donna Starkey of Granberry, TX; four brothers, Bobby (Fayetta) Akers of Richmond, VA, Harold Akers (Steve Freeman) of Columbus, OH, Marty Akers of OH, and Frankie Akers of Ohio; six grandchildren, Alexandra (Stephen) Durham, Brittany Balentine, Austin Evans, Gavin Wood, Brooklyn Evans, and Stephanie Fugate; seven great grandchildren, Trent Sipple, Hunter Durham, Granger Durham, Isabella Bryant, Brantley Peacock, Kymber Moneiiere, Major Fugate.

The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice Care at CAMC Memorial Hospital, 3200 MacCorkle Ave. SE, Charleston, WV 25304.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, July 3, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.
