Garland Murphy, 51, of Logan, departed this life Monday, March 16, 2015 at his residence. Born November 10, 1963 at Logan, he was the son late Henry and Johnnie Mae (Rollins) Murphy. Garland was a 1982 graduate of Logan High and Member of the First Baptist Church of McConnell. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Debra Mason. Survivors include his son, Bryan D. Knox, three daughters, Tara M. Knox, Jericha N. Knox, and Beanca S. Murphy, two sisters, Meshelle Murphy, and Joetta Murphy, five brothers, Marvin (Patricia) Rollins, Henry Murphy Jr., Todd (Melody) Murphy, Cornelius Murphy and Deandre (Johnda) Murphy, and twelve grandchildren; Keyona Moore, Amariah Knowx, Maddox Knox, Lennox Knox, Mariah Richardson, Jason Richarson II, Akil Audu, Aamir Audu, James Murphy, Jeremiah Murphy, Jamie Murphy, Madeline Smith and a host of Nieces and Nephews. The Family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the First Baptist Church of McConnell with Pastor John Godby officiating.
