Garrett Perry
Garrett Daniel Perry, 68, of Cow Creek WV, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the Logan Regional Medical Center while surrounded by his family. He was born April 24, 1955, at Cow Creek, WV to the late George and Violet Hatfield Perry.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers: George (Bud) Perry, Jr, Joe Perry, Willis Perry, Willy Perry, and David Perry; and one sister, Geraldine Baldwin.
Garrett enjoyed going to the local auctions and spending time with his family. He was known as “Paw” to most of his family, especially several of his nieces and nephews, which he loved dearly. Garrett faithfully attended the Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.
Garrett's memory will be cherished and forever kept alive by his loving wife, Debra (Browning) Perry; one son, Brandon (Kim) Varney of Cow Creek; one daughter, Daphne (Ted) Malinowski of Lexington, NC; two grandsons; Russell (Brandi Leigh) Caudill of Marshville, NC and Luke Malinowski of Lexington, NC; three granddaughters: Marissa (Skeeter Neighbors) Caudill of Leicester, NC, Brandi Laws and Jayla Smith of Cow Creek; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Janie Spangler of Switzer, WV, Bonnie Fowler of Big Creek, WV, and Donna Pennington of Cow Creek, WV; and a host of other family and friends. Garrett will truly be missed by all those who were blessed to have ever known him.
Garrett’s wishes were to be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
