Harold Dean White

Harold Dean White, mostly known as “Popies”, 85, of Switzer, WV departed this life on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at his residence. He was born to the late Dewey and Etta (Lindsay) White on July 30th, 1936 in Barkers Ridge, WV.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Ruby (Elledge) White; five brothers, Rance White, Kenneth White, Paul White, Maynard White, and Gaylord White; one son in law, Steve Simpkins.
Those left to cherish his memories includes his two daughters, Phyllis White and Myra Yvonne Simpkins both of Switzer, WV; one brother, Chester White of Rock, WV; one sister, Barbara Bolden of Rock, WV; one grandson, Chad (Brittany) Simpkins; two great-grandchildren, Summer Shrewsbury and Garrett Simpkins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at Highland Memory Gardens with Minister George Pendergrast officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Collins Funeral Home of Switzer, WV is assisting the family with arrangements.
