Henry May West 66, of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Logan, departed this life Wednesday, July 06, 2016 in Man, WV. He was born August 30, 1949 in Logan to the Late David Ray and Eula May West. He was a soldier in the United States Army, he had been employed by the Department of Transportation as a Courtesy Patrol Officer and Coalminer before becoming disabled. He was a member of the Ebenezer Church in Logan and the Church Choir. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents, two grandchildren; Dontarious and Shaina. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Wilma (Furches) West, Three sons; Andre Horton, Maurice (Derika) Sidney and Timothy Sidney all of Logan, Two daughters; Diana Furches and Shantel Sidney of Logan, two brothers; Charles “Chuck” West and Robert (Nesea Hager) Knox of Cora, Three Sisters; Rosslynn (George Lee) Knox of Cora, Jackie (James) Olbert of Holden and Felecia Knox of Logan, Three Grandchildren; Jimmie Jones, Dyicess Furchess and Diamond Hall one Nephew Calmece West of Orlando, FL a special family friend; Judy (Rev. Tony) Murphy Sr. and a Care-taker of 3 years his cousin; Linda Sue Motley. Services will be Noon Thursday, July 14 2016 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Murphy Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Guyan Memorial Gardens in Godby. Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M. the same day at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
