Ider Cline

Ider (Trent) Cline, 86 of Wharncliffe, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, February 21st, 2020 at her residence. She was born on April 6th, 1933 in Wharncliffe, WV and was the daughter of Elizabeth Norman and Boley Trent of Isaban, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Darrell Trent of Lexington, NC; seventeen brothers and sisters; and a special friend, Sadie Hatfield.

She was the mother figure of the Wharncliffe Church of God. She was retired from Mingo County Board of Education where she was the custodian for twenty-years at Ben Creek Grade School.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her husband of fifty-five years, Clifford Cline; nieces and nephews whom Ider considered her children, Cathy (Jeff) Gravely of Florida, Judy (David) Bragg of Kentucky, Peggy Pelletier of North Carolina, Betty Bowles of Texas, Larry Brandon of Tennessee, Katheleen Asbury of North Carolina, Norma Jean Simmons of WV, and Lyle Bradford of WV; daughter-in-law, Kathy Trent of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Darrell Stafford of WV; grandchildren, James Trent, Johnathan Trent, Jennifer Nicole Potter of Lexington, NC, Gunner Endicott of Williamson, WV, Caleb Endicott of Switzer, WV, Bethany Endicott of Switzer, WV, Donovann Endicott of North Springs, WV; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ider wanted to give a special recognition to Connie Adkins and Benny Musick for they were always ready to give a helping hand. She also wanted to give a special recognition to her dear friends, Rhodella Toler who was her hair dresser; Merle Tramel, Merlin Walls, and Sandy Stacy. Also, she wanted to give a special recognition to her dear friends; Rick Endicott of North Springs, WV, Catrina Endicott of North Springs, WV, Donald Robinette of Shady Woods, WV, and Wilma Robinette of Shady Woods.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at Wharncliffe Church of God with Pastor Rick Endicott, Assistant Pastor Donald Robinette, and Bro. Caleb Endicott officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV. Pallbearers will include, Gunner Endicott, Donovann Endicott, Russell Walls, Eddie Compton, Gerald Compton, Jeff Gravely, and Pete Cline. Honorary pallbearers will include Todd Browning, Delmer Blankenship, Bert Lee Cline, and Tim Toler. A visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 pm Monday, February 24th, 2020 also at the church.
