Imogene Elkins

Imogene Elkins, 80 of Rossmore, WV departed this life on Friday, August 7th, 2020 at her residence. She was born on August 19th, 1939 to the late Vinson and Adina (Spears) Willis. Imogene was a member of Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Roy F. Elkins, two sons; James Darren Elkins and Roy F. Elkins II; three brothers; Benjamin Willis, Orville Willis, and James Lee Willis; two sisters; Esta Cochran and Evelyn Garbosky.  

Those left to cherish her memories are four daughters, Pamela “Robert” Musial, Debra Barber, Katrina D Perry and Katrisa Ellis; four brothers, Arthur Willis, Cecil Willis, Vinson Willis Jr. and David Lee Willis; two sisters, Rosa Lovejoy and Myrtle Prince; one honorary son, Joseph Vance; ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Marty) Compton, Robert (Heather) Musial, Justin (Jessica) Barber, Joshua Barber, Jonathan Barber, Johannah Barber, Keshia (Joe) Conley, Joshua (Sarah) Perry, Ryan Ellis and Gavin Ellis; four great grandchildren, Brady Compton, Aiden Perry, Oliver Perry and Theodore Perry. She loved all her babies she took care of.  She was also loved by a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 11th, 2020 at Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Vance and Rev. Eric “Tubby” Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is assisting the Elkins family with arrangements.
