Irene Frye

Irene Frye, beloved mother to three children, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 12th, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Born in Logan, WV; she was the daughter of Woodrow and Opal Fleming. She was a member of and attended church at Central United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow, and Opal Fleming; sisters, Phyllis Boyd and Jeraldine Bailey; son, Randy Frye; and grandchildren, Christopher Altizer, Amber Frye, and Jessica Small.

She is survived by her lifelong partner and love of her life, William “Bill” Chafin; son, Oscar Frye III; daughter, Pam Small (Don Sorrell); daughter in law, Drema Frye; grandchildren, Randall Ray Frye, Kendra (Josh) Miller, Kelli Ann Frye, Charli (Anthony) Toparis, and Ashleigh Frye; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service for only family and church family will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, at Central United Baptist Church in Logan, WV with Pastor Kevin Conley, and Brother Bill Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Central United Baptist Church in her memory.
