James E. Miller

James E. Miller 88 formally of Kistler, WV departed this life Monday, December 21st, 2020 in Columbus, OH. He was born on March 5th, 1932 in Alabama to Toney Miller and Lucille Allison. He was a retired coal miner where he worked at Island Creek at Elk Creek for twenty-six years. He moved to Amherstdale, WV in 1948 and graduated at Buffalo High School in 1951. He was a member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Amherstdale, WV. He loved his kids and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Allison and stepfather, Evan Allison.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes two sons, James Miller Jr. and Nathaniel Miller; five daughters, Harriet Jordan, Annie Ledell Miller, Angela Miller, Diana Puryear, and Marie Fairfax; and one sister, Dorthy Miller.

 A home going celebration will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday December 26th, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one-hour prior at 11:00 am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV.
