James "Jay" B. Nunley

James “Jay” B. Nunley, 52 of Omar, WV departed this life on Thursday, June 16^th, 2022 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 2^nd, 1970. He was the son of Carol J. Nunley and the late Kenneth D. Nunley. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Nunley Spangler.

Jay was the Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Logan and Gilbert Presbyterian Church.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his mother, Carol J. Nunley of Cow Creek, WV; niece, Rachael Spangler of Switzer; brother in law, Raymond Spangler of Man, WV;  step grandmother,  Donna Pennington of Cow Creek; seven special aunts; three uncles; and a host of precious cousins and friends, including his church family.

Per his request, Jay will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 22^nd, 2022, at The First Presbyterian Church of Logan, WV with Rev. Jim Musgrave officiating. Burial will be at a later date. A visitation will begin starting at 11:00 am Wednesday.

Jay wanted to be remembered as a follower of Christ.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to, Heifer International and/or First Presbyterian Church of Logan’s Food Bank.
