Jeff "Chop" Allred

Jeff “Chop” Allred, 53 years old of Switzer, WV, departed this life on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. He was born on July 24, 1971, in Montgomery, AL and was the son of the late Wayne Herman Allred and Edith Gaye (Bryant) Whittington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mamaw and papaw, Ammie Allred and Mearl Allred; grandparents, Eunice, and Robert Bryant; and father-in-law, James Dowdy, Jr.

Jeff was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters 175 and a union steward for Coca-Cola.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes the love of his life for thirty two years, Melissa Allred; son, Cameron (Brooklyn White) Allred; daughter, Emily Allred; brother, Colby Allred; sisters, Gwen (Mike) Helms, Jenny McMillian (Max) Hillier, Cady (William) Woodward; nieces and nephews, Jaymie Dowdy, Liam Dowdy, Ky Dowdy, Kamaya Dowdy, Kayden Dowdy, Ashlee Helms, Wyatt Hucabee, Savannah Hucabee, Mason Woodward, and Bella Woodward; brother-in-law, James (Heidi) Dowdy; sister-in-law, Amber (Yon) Collins; and mother-in-law, Patricia Dowdy.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Verdunville Church of God with Pastor Michael Hartwell and Associate Pastor Timmy Mullins. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV. Pallbearers will include special friends and coworkers from Coca Cola.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
