Jeffrey Collins

Jeffrey Collins, 72 of Logan, WV departed this life on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston, WV. He was born on September 10th, 1949, in Holden, WV to the late Shelby “June” Collins and Catherine (Griffin) Collins.

 

He was a retired coal miner. He was also a veteran from the United States Army. He had an associate’s degree in Theology, something he was very proud of.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Shelby Collins; one nephew, Kenneth Collins; one great nephew, Corey Bradsher; and one great niece, Isis Dockery.

 

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his spouse, Yuon (Yu) Collins of Holden, WV; three sons, David Collins of Charleston, WV, Kim Collins of Logan, WV, and Jeffrey (Monica) Collins Jr. of Charleston, WV; two sisters, Sandra K. Drummer of Shamrock, WV and Marguerite Trammell of Shamrock, WV; four grandchildren, Jalen Collins, Jada J. Hairston, Kariya Collins, and Nevaeh Seals; one great-grandchild, Atticus C. Broughton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

A visitation will be held 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 13th, 2022, at St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church in Cora, WV.

 

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm also at the church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV.
