Jesse Tee Thompson

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the transition of our beloved Jesse Tee Johnson from this earthly vessel into the spiritual realm. 

Jesse was born on June 6, 1991, in Mount Airy, North Carolina, to the late Tee and Judy Johnson. He departed from this life on February 18, 2025, at his home in Omar, West Virginia, with his wife, Kimberly Johnson, by his side. 

Jesse was a very proud and loving father to his daughter and mini-me, Learik Anna-Leigh Johnson, and his stepdaughter, Elsia Belle Hensley. His children were his entire world. 

Jesse had many special interests, but he had a strong bond with hip-hop and R&B music. 

Jesse was such a kind, loving, and gentle person. He touched so many people's hearts and souls by sharing his music, laughter, jokes, and wisdom. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kimberly Johnson; daughter, Learik Johnson; stepdaughter, Elsia Hensley; brothers, Johnny (Susan) Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Shawn (Myra) Johnson; sisters, Tracey Johnson and Tonia Gibson; aunt, Brenda "BeBe" Coy; nieces, Clarissa Forester and Brittany Frame; nephews, Kenneth Casdorph and Paxton Matney; great-nieces, Kalee and Emily Forester, Amiya, Kiera, and Stella Casdorph; great-nephews, Joseph Forester, Jacob and Maverick Frame, and Greylen Casdorph, along with a plethora of special friends, including his very best friend, Johnathon "Bubba" Davis. 

Jesse is reuniting in the afterlife with his father, Tee Johnson; mother, Judy Johnson; uncle, Jimmy White; and nephew, Christopher Casdorph. 

A memorial service will be held at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, West Virginia on Wednesday February 26th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Dinner will follow at Stirrat Community Church. There will be explicit music being played during his memorial service as he wouldn't have had it any other way. 

Long live Jesse Tee Johnson. May his memories be carried by those close to him, providing a sense of comfort and peace to those he loved.
