Jimmy Odell “Jim” Jeffrey, 75 of Stirrat, WV departed this life Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 29th, 1946, in Little’s Creek, Stirrat, West Virginia to the late Alvie Ozell “Bill Jack” and Mazie May (Smith) Jeffrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Sue Jeffrey Adkins, and a host of other family members.
Jim was a disabled coal miner. He loved spending time outside, sitting on the porch, riding side by sides, fishing, and socializing with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his wife of fifty-five years, Wilma “Tenny” (Bragg) Jeffrey of Stirrat, WV; one son, Jimmy (Deb) Jeffrey Jr. of Sarah Ann, WV; one daughter, Trina Jeffrey (Corey Baisden) of Stirrat, WV; two brothers, Bill (Edna) Jeffrey of Stirrat, WV and Gary (Belinda) Jeffrey of Huntington, WV; three sisters, Lois (Pat) Mooney of Florida, Janice Phillips of Tennessee, and Kathy (Larry) Chafin of Sarah Ann, WV; grandchildren, Corey Adams, Kristin Adams (Jay Riffe), Abby Baisden, Vinson (Haylea) Maynard; and Bo (Jayla) Cline; great grandchildren, Trevor Adams, Autumn, Zoey, and Riley Butcher, and Brinston Riffe; and a host of nieces and nephews who will all love and miss him.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 11th, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors CD Wolford and Shane Dennison officiating. Burial will follow in Bragg Cemetery at Sarah Ann, WV. Pallbearers will include will be sons and grandsons.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, March 10th, 2022, also at the funeral home.
