Joetta Compton, 70, of Wharncliffe, WV, departed for her heavenly home on Friday, December 31st, 2021, from Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 30th, 1951, at Baisden Fork; she was the daughter of the late Joe and Edith Cline.
Joetta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved the Lord and studied His word diligently. She enjoyed crafting, giving gifts, and spoiling her great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory includes her daughters, Jennifer (Shane) Toler and Julie (Ricky) Mitchell; sister, Carmela (Earl) Dotson; brothers, Charles “Snook” (Joetta) Cline and Mitchell (Chris) Cline; granddaughters, Jessica (Scott) Evans and Amanda (Brandon) Marcum; great-grandchildren, Drake, Avary, Kairi, Annalei, and soon to be born, Aeryn; one uncle, Jim Blankenship; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, at Wharncliffe Church of God with Pastor Rick Endicott officiating.
To honor her wishes, Joetta’s body will be cremated, and her ashes buried on Oak Log Cemetery.
