John Henry Hensley

John Henry Hensley, 84 of Delbarton, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 29th, 1936 in Logan, WV to the late Avery and Nona Hensley. He was retired from Georgia Pacific and an Elder at Tabatha Church of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all his sisters and brothers; two wives, Virginia Hensley and Nancy White; three children, Jessie Cox, Unona Jessie, and John Hensley Jr.; and some grandchildren and great grandchildren and many other family and loved ones.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes one son, Gene Rayburn Hensley of Matewan, WV; five daughters, Ethel Sowers of Alabama, Virginia Chapman of Varney, WV, Henrietta Adkins of Parkersburg, WV, Cynthia Slone of Delbarton, WV, Martha Mills of Williamson, WV; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren who will all love and miss him.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 24th, 2020 at Gilman Cemetery in Elk Creek, WV with Elder Albert Cable officiating.
