Johnathan Trent Duncan

Johnathan Trent Duncan, 20 of Logan, WV departed this life Tuesday, November 26th, 2019. He was born on July 9th, 1999 at Cabell Huntington Hospital and was the son of the late Brian Duncan and Angela Duncan Reese. Jonathan was a student at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and Marshall University. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Duncan; grandfather, Johnny Johnson Sr.; and grandmother, Carmel Johnson. If you knew Trent, you knew that he was always making jokes and telling hilarious stories. He would walk in a room full of people and crack a big joke right off, you would know he had arrived. He didn’t allow people to be sad around him, he would do something to get you in a good mood whether that was dancing, making funny faces to get you to laugh. He loved his FAMILY and FRIENDS more than anything. When Trent loved you, he loved you BIG! He was one of a kind and will never cross our thoughts that we don’t laugh and think of something silly he did, but will yearn for his presence until we meet him again.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his mother, Angela (Patrick) Reese; God-parents, Carl and Bonita Wolford of Gilbert, WV; his siblings, Tres (Danielle) Duncan of Logan, WV, step-brother, Ashton Cline of Gilbert, WV; his most favorite human ever, Aylah Duncan of Teays Valley, WV; and step-sister, Madison Reese of Teays Valley, WV; paternal grandparents, Lynda Duncan of Salt Rock, WV and Cliff (Cathy) Duncan of Crawley Creek, WV; paternal aunt and uncle, Ricky (Libby) Duncan of Salt Rock, WV; maternal aunts and uncles, Johnny Johnson Jr. of Logan, WV, Kellie (Allie) Smaidi of Charleston, WV, cousins, Michael Duncan of Cincinnati, OH, Melydna (Keith) Stoffa of Myrtle Beach, SC, Gabriel Buruato of Statesville, NC; two very special nephews, Greyson and Jaxson Duncan of Logan, WV; a best friend, Tyler Flemming of Charles Town, WV; and not just his best friend but also his girlfriend, Josi Meadows of Chapmanville, WV.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday December 4th, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl Wolford officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. He will be carried to his final resting place by Ashton Cline, Samson Woodruff, Kevin Damron, Tyler Flemming, and Kyle Flemming.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 pm Tuesday December 3rd, 2019 also at the funeral home.
