Joyce Elaine (Gibson) Browning

Joyce Elaine (Gibson) Browning, 74 of Gilbert, WV (formally of Wharncliffe, WV) went to be with the Lord and her loved ones on Sunday, May 1st, 2022, at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 24th, 1948, to the late Freeland and Ruth Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Roy Browning; one son, Freeland “Cookie” Browning; brothers, Robert Gibson, Layton Gibson, Clark Gibson, William Gibson, and Bill Gibson; and one sister, Eremie Gibson.
Those left to cherish her loving memories include one son, Carl “Bo” Browning of home; one daughter, Ann Goad (Jamie Lusk) of Gilbert; granddaughters, Kayla Goad of Gilbert and Destiny Paige Browning of Hiddenite, North Carolina (formally of Wharncliffe, WV); one grandson, Zachary Roy Browning of Hiddenite, North Carolina (formally of Wharncliffe, WV); one great grandson, Breentlee of Gilbert; one great granddaughter, Kaylee of Gilbert; three brothers, Alford Gibson, Dean Gibson, and John Gibson; and one daughter in law, Misty Dawn Kerley.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, May 6th, 2022, at Wharncliffe Church of God.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, May 7th, 2022, also at the church with Pastor Rick Endicott officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery in Glen Alum, WV. She will be carried to her resting place by family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV.
