Juanita Thompson

Juanita (Harris) Thompson, 70 of Wilkinson, WV departed of this life Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born August 19, 1948 in Branchland, WV to the late Jack Harris and Myrtle (Jeffers) Parsley and step-father Noah Parsley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Lee Thompson, her grandparents: James and Josephine Harless (Jeffers) and her best friend of many years: Sharon Adams Ooten. She graduated Logan High School and attended and worked at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, The Department of Health and Human Resources, and CSX Railroad.

Those left to cherish her memories are two sons: Joseph (Leslie) Mileto of Wilkinson, James (Jurea) Mileto of Monita, Virginia, one daughter: Lisa Mileto of Whitman, one step-son: Bryan (Krystan) Thompson of Georgia, one step-daughter: Jerry (Kevin) Compton of Ashland, Kentucky, nine grandchildren: Jennifer Mileto, Jodi (Kenny) Mileto, Auttumn Adkins, Savannah Mileto, Tyler Mileto, Haleigh Hughes, Hunter Mileto, Hannah Mileto, Lonnie Talbert, two step- grandchildren Alex and Taylor Thompson, two great-grandsons Josiah (JoJo) and Malik (Meeky) Workman, and one very special true friend Vicki (Bobby) Hager; along with a host of family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held for the family at Highland Memory Gardens upon Juanita’s request. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM at New Life Freewill Baptist Church in Rossmore, WV with her cousin Rev. Kenneth Ray Adkins officiating.
