Katherine "Kat" Blevins

Katherine “Kat”  “Baisden” Blevins 87, of Omar went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born November 06, 1929 in Manila, West Virginia to the Late Earnest George and Lydia (Ellis) Baisden.  She was a Homemaker and was a very devoted Christian woman that was a member of the Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church for many years.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandparents, her husband; Jessie Blevins, three brothers; Alfred, Kenneth and Lewis Carlean Baisden, and three sisters; Nell Jean Marcum, Mary Lou Fowler and Violet June Pauley.  Those left to cherish her memories are three sons; Ernest Ray (Marge) Blevins of OH, James Frank (Renita Thompson) Blevins of Logan and Denny Ray (Barbara) Blevins of NC, one daughter; Lela (John B) Hatfield of Omar, nine grandchildren; Scotty Blevins, Jenny (Keith) Muro, Michelle Blevins, Christopher (Tara) Hatfield, Jessie (Cassie) Hatfield, John B (Toya) Hatfield II, Sierra and Riauna Blevins and Camden Stallings, eight great-grandchildren; David and Kayla Muro, Garrin and Aynessa Hatfield, Olivia and Emily Hatfield, Jessie II and Shayle Hatfield and a very special brother-in-law James Pauley.  Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at The Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Rev Lewis Hall and Rev. Scotty Erwin officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM Friday, June 16, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Family and Grandsons.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.  Condolences may be left @ www.collinsfuneralhomewv.com./
