Lisa Dawn Hodge, 57 (formally of Garden City, SC) went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at her residence. She was born on August 28th, 1965, to the late Elizabeth (Hodge) Valentine. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roma and Ella Hodge; four aunts, Dorothy Altizer, Glenna Kennedy, Alice Sloan, and Patricia Caroll; and her cousin, Cindy Herndon.
Liza, as she was affectionately known, never failed to share her testimony of her Jesus. Her faith and love were a testimony to all who knew and loved her and she always made sure to tell you to “feel the love.” She was a member of First Baptist Church, Murrells Inlet, SC.
Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her sister, Vickie Tiller Cook (Richard) of Georgetown, SC; nieces, Kamra (Patrick) Cox and Kaiden Cook of Georgetown, SC; nephew, Jared Cook of Fairbanks, AK; brother, Jay (Serena) Hicks of Brownsville, TX; special friends, Sherry Graham, Kathy Gummelt, Dawn Strawbridge, Alma Cook, and Carl Lawrence; her special fur baby, Lily; cousin, DJ Mullins; special aunt, Judy (Ronnie) Farmer of Omar, WV whom she lived with the past two years; and a host of many other cousins, family members, and friends who will all love and miss her.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, September 5th, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.
In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated following the service.
