Lonnie Wells

Lonnie Wells, 66 of Chapmanville, WV died on Sunday November 8th, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 27th, 1954 in Logan, WV.

Lonnie was a coal miner that loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Latosha (Mike) Marcum, Amber Adkins, Ashley Wells, April Wells, and Lonnie Wells II; siblings, Donald (Kathy) Wells Jr., Edith (Larry) Jimison, Janet Richardson, Rick (Debbie) Wells. The mothers of his children, Cynthia Jude and Teresa Donahoe, grandmother of his grandchildren and best friend, Rosie Adkins, nine grandchildren, Cody, Joshua, Kaydence, Riddock, Brooklyn, Lexi, Lance, Madyson, and Bentley; also one great-grandchild Layla; nine nieces and nephews and a host of family and close friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Pikeville Medical Center for their excellent care for Lonnie.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 21st, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV.
