Luevennia Henderson

Luevennia  (Thomas) Henderson 87 of Whitman, WV passed into Life Eternity on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.  She was born Jan 19, 1928 at Omar, WV the daughter of the late Willie and Louella (Edwards) Thomas.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Marvin Henderson, three brothers; Samuel and James Edwards and John Thomas and three sisters; Isadella Gaiter, Alice Day and Jimmie Lee Jones. Luevennia was a faithful member of the St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church for 78 years, where she held several financial positions and was a participant in all church activities.  She was also the treasurer of the Guyan Valley Music Convention until she became too Ill.  She was a registered Licensed Beautician for the state of WV where she practiced for over 50 years, the shop was known as “Vennies”.  She was also a member of the Logan and National Chapter of the Aracoma High School Alumni Association. She leaves to mourn her Loving, Faithful Son Marcus Henderson, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2015 at the St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church @ Cora with Rev. Curtis Calloway officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.   Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the church.  Pallbearers will be Nephews, Family and Friends.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.    Condolences may be left @ www.collinsfuneralhomewv.com/.
