Marion Montgomery

Marion (Conner) Montgomery 100, of Mt. Gay, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Logan Center @ 3-Mile Curve.  She was born December 26, 1915 in Christiansburg, VA.  She was a homemaker; a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church @ Wilkinson that she attended for over 50 years where she served as an Usher, Mission Teacher and President of the Kitchen Committee. She was a member of the Guyan Valley Baptist Association, as well as the Logan Branch of the NAACP. She is preceded in death by her husband Kyle Montgomery Sr., four daughters; Lilly, Victoria, Ruthie and Gladys, one stepson; Robert and one grandson; Douglas Jr.  Those left to cherish her memories are two sons; Kyle “Popeye” (Antoinette) Montgomery Jr. and Doug Montgomery of Logan, one daughter; Lucy Godfrey of Logan, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, family and friends. Services will be Noon Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. T.J. Murphy and Rev. James Mosley officiating.  Visitation will be the same day starting at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Guyan Memorial Gardens @ Godby.   Pallbearers will be grandsons, family and friends.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.  Condolences may be left @ www.collinsfuneralhomewv.com/
