Mark Anthony Sidney, 45, of Logan, WV, departed from this life to be with Jesus on Thursday, January 23, 2025. He was born August 28, 1979, to Judy Ann Sidney.
Mark was a devout member of Faith Tabernacle of Cherry Tree, where he enjoyed singing and worshiping with his church family. He was working on a special song, 'My God is Awesome,' with the pastor/organist. Mark also dedicated time to the Salvation Army Church, participating in Men's Camp, the food pantry, and playing drums for services. Mark was devoted to church service, regardless of the medical circumstances that prevented him from attending in person. Mark was a graduate of Logan High School. He enjoyed spending time with friends, watching WWE wrestling, and eating Baconators.
Mark is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Dorothy Sidney; grandfathers: Hobert Sidney and Charles Boatwright Sr.; uncles: Raymond Sidney and Charles Boatwright Jr., godmother, Susan C. Keyser; and godbrother, Danny L. Keyser Jr., along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Sidney; brothers, Michael L. Sidney, and Donald R. Adams Jr.; sisters, Melissa L. Sidney, Talisha L. Sidney, and Dorothy J. Sidney; best friends, Ben (Amber) Keyser, and many members of the Keyser family; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Faith Tabernacle of Cherry Tree.
Viewing will be held two hours prior at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home for the funeral expenses.
