Martha Ann Bass, departed from this life on October 29th, 2022. She is the daughter of Amanda and Ulyess Grant Bratcher and siblings, Samuel, and Marion Bratcher. She was born in Lorado, Man, WV. She graduated from Logan High School. In 1964, she went to New York to become a RN and successfully graduated and had a baby boy in October 1967 named Douglas Grant Bratcher and had a baby girl in February 1970 named Hopemarie Chinadoll Hill.

 

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her son, Douglas Grant Bratcher; daughter, Hopemarie Hill; sibling, Marion Shirley Bratcher; grandchildren, Matthew Scott Cunningham, Jor’Don Darius Russell, Jeremiah Adonis Russell, Joshua Ray Russell, Sapphire unique Lawson Bratcher, Star L. (Poole) Bratcher, KB Bratcher, and Jennifer N. Bratcher; and a host of great grandchildren.

 

She lived a beautiful and wonderful life and will be very well missed.

 

“Don’t Look for Me, I Am Going Home”

 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10th, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home Chapel. After that, she will be laid to rest with her husband, Harry E. Bass and daddy, her mama, and her brother.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV.
