Maxine Staten

Maxine Staten 86, of Vantage Point Road in Monaville, departed this life Saturday, November 04, 2016 in Logan Regional Medical Center.  She was born December 28, 1929 in Mingo County, to the Late Hansford and Resa (Shepard) Booth.  She was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Hi Staten Jr. and one son; Gary G. Staten.  Those left to cherish her memories are eight sons; Robert Staten of Monaville, Joe Staten of Logan, Paul (Sue) Staten of SC, Donnie and Ronnie Staten of Monaville, Douglas and George Staten of Logan and Handsford Nelson of Mill Creek, three daughters; Sue (Russell) Shepard of Sarah Ann, Resa (Freddie) Mitchel of Switzer and Jackie (Sennett) Whitt of Lewis, WV, one brother; Hibe Booth of SC, twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 09, 2016 at The Barnabus Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor James Hawkins and Brother C.D. Wolford officiating.  Burial will follow in Hatfield Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM Tuesday, November 08, 2016 at the church.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
