Patty Lou Vance

Patty L Vance- Chauncey, WV- -72, of Chauncey departed this life, Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at Charleston Area Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV, after a sudden illness. She surrounded by her family and the excellent nursing staff of the CPICU. Born June 6, 1944 in Logan County, WV to the late Milt and Mae Boggs of Omar WV. Patty was a retired claims representative for the Social Security Administration in Logan, WV after 36 years service with the United States Government. Patty was dedicated to her family in every way and loved them dearly.  She never knew a stranger.  She was a woman of kind words and generosity who had a smile that was infectious.  She was a member of the Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church where she sang with the voice of an angel.  She loved all of her brothers and sisters in Christ.  Patty had a passion for photography.  She always had a camera in her hands and enjoyed displaying her family throughout her home. Additional survivors include her loving and devoted husband Danny of 55 years; one daughter, Angela (David) Rutherford of Ceredo, WV; two grandchildren at home, Kaci Erin and Jameson Donald Copley; grandchildren Ashley (Jason) Starling of Powell, Ohio, David Alan and Lora Beth Rutherford of Charleston, WV.  Daniel Aaron Rutherford of Ceredo, WV.  Great Grandchildren include Jacob Robert and Shelby Elizabeth Starling of Powell, Ohio with a great grandson due in March. Additional survivors include Glen (Carlene) Boggs of Pecks Mill, WV and Eugene (Frankie) Boggs of Omar, WV.  She was a devoted and loving niece Lisa Callaway who loved her as her own mother and a life long friend Connie Dingess. Preceding her in death and now joyfully reunited are her parents Milt and Mae Boggs, sister, Glenna Sue Mills, brothers, Larry and Donald Boggs and her beautiful daughter Kelli Jo Vance Belcher. Visitation will be at the Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Chauncey, WV on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 6-9 pm.  Services will be held on Sunday February 5, 2017, at 1 pm at Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Blankenship officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will be Jameson Copley, Larry Ray Boggs, Cody Mills, Michael Callaway, David Rutherford, David Alan Rutherford and Daniel Rutherford. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jacob Robert Starling, Noah and Kyle Mullins.
