Preston Collins, Sr.

Preston Collins, Sr., 80 years old of Harts, WV, departed this life at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Preston was born April 11, 1944, in Logan, WV and was the son of the late Rev. Harrison Collins, Sr. and Virgie (Tomblin) Collins.

Preston was married to the late Betty (Casto) Collins for forty years.

In addition to his parents and late wife Betty, he was preceded in death by his in laws, Cecil and Tiney Jane (Bryant) Casto; one brother, Rufus “Larry” and JoAnn Collins; two sisters, Florence (Jerry) Morris and Lucille (Herbert) Bryant.

Preston enjoyed hunting, walking, visiting family and friends, and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his one son, Preston (Linda) Collins of Salt Rock, WV; two daughters, Lisa Collins of Loveland, OH, and Angela (Sam) Adams of Harts, WV; grandchildren, Tiffany Adams (Mika Sheppard), Chad Adams, Lindsey Collins, Erica (Kaycen and Carlee) Nickley; two brothers, Bruford (Bitha) Collins of Kentucky, Harrison Jr. (Patricia) Collins of Harts, WV, and a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Elbert Collins Jr. and Micheal Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Collins Family Cemetery at Thompson Branch of Harts, WV. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
